Most. Voters. Ever.

Washington State hit a milestone when it came to voting and voter turnout on November 4th. According to the official ballot count, over 3 million voters cast their vote in the general election and there are still over 50,000 ballots to be counted. A spokesman for Secretary of State Sam Reed said this is the first time in Washington history that voter participation has reached 3 million and that so far 83% of registered voters in Washington actually voted. more ›

90% Voter Turn-out?!

From a Times article announcing that ballots from 53% of expected state voters are already in: "King County, the state's most populous county, has 1.1 million voters and is predicting an 85 percent turnout. Some counties are predicting a turnout as high as 90 percent." Holy smokes, that is a lot of voters! Seattlest just watched a Starbucks-sponsored commercial begging everyone to vote, and we're unashamed to say that we teared up big time.
