Last year we lamented the loss of Takohachi, our favorite restaurant for saba shioyaki (grilled mackerel). As much as we loved the fish itself, they served it with a bowl of yaki meshi (fried rice) so full of bacon goodness you’d have been a fool to order the white rice instead. Since our teams remain winless this season, Seattlest has decided to do the only logical thing to get us out of this funk...Eat! Sadly, Seattle lacks a Singaporean restaurant. The closest we’ve got are Malay Satay Hut (a favorite!) and Salima, but they’re both primarily Malaysian. So if you can’t go out for Singaporean food, then why not make it yourself? more ›
