Following the Seahawks' epic win against The Saints on Saturday's wild-card game, Seattle's online community has been abuzz. First, there was the now-famous 67 yard Marshawn Lynch touchdown set to video game music. Then there was the shocking report that fans at Qwest Field erupted into cheers so loud during said touchdown that seismic activity occurred for 90 seconds. Now members of the Seattle music community are chiming in their support of the Seahawks in similar fashion to Macklemore's musical tribute to Dave Niehaus, granted both songs are very different in both structure and purpose.

Roy Meets All Star Game
Unlike our beloved baseball All Star Game, we’ve tended to skip the NBA's version in recent years. However, with our hero Brandon Roy, in Sunday's game we can’t wait to watch our fellow ex-Bulldog cram some FANtastic™ action down the East’s face. However, we’ll be in Vancouver--sorry TNT.

Tortoise Beats the Hare
Next Tuesday at Neumo's, the elder statesmen of post-rock make a stop in Seattle. Formed in Chicago in 1990, Tortoise are by no means new on the scene, but their instrumentals, equal parts jazz and prog, have always garnered them fans of experimental music and varied instrumentation, as well as folks who just like a lovely melody. Be forewarned: this also means the occasional dirty dreadlocked jam band hippie. Check out the above video for a live version of "I Set My Face to the Hillside," from 1998's seminal album TNT.
Steve Nash: Not Good Enough to Beat the Spurs, Not Good Enough to Be a Husky
One day in the early 90s, then-Husky basketball coach Lynn Nance said to himself, "You know, I'm pretty happy with Prentiss Perkins and Bryant Boston at guard," and declined to offer a scholarship to a young Canadian and UW fan named Steve Nash.

Dan Savage Is Seattle's Margaret Cho
That's one thing we learned from The Moth Story Tour on Sunday night at Town Hall. Actually, we learned that from the brochure, which explained what local voices were going to appear in which cities. Cho in LA, Savage in SEA.
Local Losers Still Sore
Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren today bellyached about officiating during the Seahawks' loss in the Super Bowl. Which happened two months ago.
Sonics Tie It Up, Apologies About Eva
