It may not be The Sopranos, but the story of a body dump in broad daylight in South Seattle yesterday is becoming increasingly strange. Police arrested and booked a suspect this morning and the suspect is now under investigation for murder. The victim was a white man in his 60s who appeared to have medical or surgical instruments and tubes still attached to his body. Some reports say he also had a belt around his neck at the time of the body dump. Whichever detail is true, it adds an extra element of creepiness and shudders to the story.
Arrest Made in South Seattle Body Dump
Police Investigating Body Dump in South Seattle
If The Sopranos took place in Seattle, we always imagined the mob haunts would be in industrial south Seattle, with the Bada Bing on Airport Way South. So the report of a body being dumped out of a moving vehicle at Ninth Avenue South and South Dakota Street at 7:30 this morning sits well with our seedy visions.

Remember to Honk When You Drive By... Hey! Where's Fonk!?!
Last week while driving down Stone Way, hand poised over horn, we were surprised and somewhat dismayed to see that Vern Fonk Insurance had closed shop. However, a quick check at the Fonk site indicated that the office had only moved to a newlocation. As a result, because of Fonk's horn-blowing slogan, we imagine their old neighbors are relieved to have them gone, just as their new neighbors are probably preparing a lawsuit.
