Morgen takes us over to Capitol Hill today in St Mark's Cathedral. The same people behind Fremont Abbey's Round put on an incredible show at the cathedral with a killer lineup including the subject of today's photo, Noah Gundersen.
Countdown in Photos #28: Noah Gundersen
Countdown in Photos #25: Shenandoah Davis
Morgen heads over to Columbia City Theatre once again for today's photo. The Fremont Abbey's first round at CCT is the setting. This photo in particular is Shenandoah Davis who recently embarked on a four month tour of non-stop shows. She has a beautiful voice, soul... and tattoo.

Today: Vote! And also: a not-so-typical music experience at the Fremont Abbey, oil and politics in Alaska, and MovieCat Trivia.

Tonight: Comedy with your Thai food, a round of sorts, and a hip-hop documentary.
The Round Turns Six, Let's Dance!
One of the undiscovered gems of Fremont (and Seattle for that matter) is the Fremont Abbey Arts Center. Not only do they offer affordable arts classes throughout the year to youth but open up the Abbey to adult opportunities as well. One of which is The Round that takes place on the first Tuesday of every month. We first discovered this magical gathering of music over two years ago and we are loath to miss even one ever since.
A Bevy of Music and Art in Columbia City Tonight
Tonight will be another magical night of music at Columbia City Theater as The Round enchants Seattle art lovers yet again. The Round, which usually takes place at Fremont Abbey Arts Center, is a mixture of art and music that leaves you feeling enriched and wishing you could make an Etsy store of crafts of your own. There are Rounds now being held throughout the state as well as the country; one of which was held this last week at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin (Round #7 there) with Campfire OK and Noah Gundersen performing amongst others. This is the first Round being held at Columbia City Theater, but we're pretty sure it won't be the last.
Making the Holiday Rounds
The Round, which normally takes place at Fremont Abbey, is as much for the performers as the audience, providing established and emerging artists a small stage to cozy up to each other and viewers. Few events qualify as sincerely intimate and art absorbed, but this gathering, simple yet boundless, certainly qualifies.
