-The NFL defended the officiating in the Super Bowl today and Joe Montana admitted that he's an alien and was off doing some "serious alien shit you don't want to even know about" the other day.

Two days later, the horrible officiating in Super Bowl XL (led by Bill Leavy, at right) continues to be a major media story. Our take? Sure, there were some bad calls, but the Hawks would have still won had they played better, coached better, and not had some critical injuries.

The NFL admitted yesterday that the referee of Sunday's Seahawks-Giants game, Larry Nemmers, should have gotten off his knees, because he was blowing the game.
