Get Out: SIFF's Classic Film Series, Through Feb 7 @ SIFF Cinema
Robert Bresson, Luis Buñuel, Jean-Luc Godard, Jules Dassin, Federico Fellini -- thanks to distributor Rialto Pictures, their restored films are popping up in theaters around the country, and, happily, here in Seattle.
For Your Consideration: The Week in SIFF
This week the weather's cooperating a bit more. Nothing like escaping rainy days with a film festival (except if you get stuck in a downpour while waiting in line, so pack that umbrella). Once inside you'll be golden thanks to your perusal of Seattlest picks. Trust us. Golden!
KEXP Counts Down
On Friday, December 29th at 10am, KEXP will begin counting down the top 90.3 albums of 2006 (does that mean 90 good albums plus one only a third of which is any good? We don't know). In the meantime, until December 26th you and everyone you know can vote for your own top five albums of the year.
Sigur Rós, Take a Bow
Last night at Benaroya Hall, we were distressed by the sight of something terrible amidst the sold-out crowd: there, a couple rows in front of us on the orchestra level, were four guys with their collars popped. Yuck. Kids, do you know who pops their collars? Tools and/or douchebags. Case(s) in point. So leave that shit in Bellevue, Chad, 'cause you're here to see Sigur friggin' Rós.

Belle & Sebastian Close For New Pornographers
Last Saturday night Seattlest was shivering outside the Paramount waiting for the friend-with-the-tickets to show up for the New Pornographers/Belle and Sebastian show. From our vantage point, we watched as the doors opened and the line poured into the Paramount, a standing wave forming a few feet before the marquee, as people held up their cell phones to take a picture in case of massive cerebral trauma rendering them unable to remember where they were later on.
The Week's Picks...
Another week of Seattlest making all your plans for you. You don’t even have to think! Joy!
