Vince Mira's on the rise. We took note of him first because of his disconcertingly good Johnny Cash covers, but the dark-eyed teen is writing and performing his own songs now. He's played full-length sets at all kinds of festivals this year, from Sasquatch to Bumbershoot to the Seattle Tattoo Expo, and the singer/songwriter performs fairly regularly at spots around town.

Note: We recently discovered that Seattlest scores a whopping "Junior High Readability Level" on this site. That got us thinking: we really are still 12 years old inside. Therefore, we occasionally sign checks with a sparkly purple gel pen and get violent crushes on characters around town for often-silly reasons. In fact, you might say that we totes crush on locals all the time, but specifically on Mondays from here on out. (Editorial Note: the crush of the week for this seminal week was delayed a day, thanks to Gmail's hours-long crap-out yesterday.)

Getting your body tattooed is an intense, often bloody process. Even if you have a high tolerance for pain (and there is much pain involved), the philosophical fact remains that you are announcing ownership of your own body to do with what you want: your skin, your chosen image, your hours of mild-to-moderate intentional suffering. Your tribal arm-band.

First of all, if you haven't made your best attempt to match the blogger to the tat, go there and do so. And now, for the answers!

In celebration of the Seattle Tattoo Expo, body art, and art of all varieties, Seattlest brings you the first ever round of "Match The Seattlest With His/Her Tattoo!" There are four photos, and a list of some Seattlest authors who might possibly be the owners of the ink pictured. Try your hand and leave your guesses in the comments! (This page might or might not help.) We'll announce the answers around 5 p.m. this evening.
