Well, guess what? The tide has turned once again in the War On Christmas - The Port of Seattle has decided to replace the trees it removed from the main passageway of the airport over the weekend. Rabbi Bogomilsky withdrew his suit, but we're guessing the reversal had more to do with the national attention the Port got than any actions on the part of the rabbi.
There's a national transportation bigwig in Seattle today pledging flood relief and the like. Transportation secretary Mary Peters is a Bush appointee, though, so if the rebuilding of NOLA is any indication Rainier will probably erupt before the flood-damaged areas around it are repaired.
Comcast Channel 117 normally shows a live video feed of the departures drop-off at Sea-Tac Airport, but for some reason they've decided to reach out to an audience other than aviation enthusiasts and broadcast the World Baseball Classic. Every game that's tape-delayed by ESPN can be seen live on Channel 117, which is also digital channel 7.2.
Local hater Pete Bagge drew a little comic strip last year for the anarcho-fascist propoganda outlet Reason Magazine that heaped scorn and ridcule on the innocent men, women and children of the art world. Now, one year later, Bagge's karma comes back to bite him in the ass with an art world style exhibition of that very same comic. Will the hypocrisy blow Bagge's mind? Will it be as bad as that one scene in the Star Wars movie where Luke Skywalker cuts off Darth Vader's head only to see behind the mask... his own face!?
Seattlest may not be convinced that there's any good reason to leave our fair city -- but at least we can rest assured that we've got a modern and easy-to-use airport to assist us in our travels when necessary.
