- The light rail isn't even officially opened, and it's already getting grief (and being hit by cars too) from Tukwila residents, who are complaining about loud (88 decibels worth) of high-pitched squeaking from the recent light rail test runs.
- Yesterday, the Seattle Courant (which dubbed itself "Seattle's first online daily newspaper") kicked the bucket. Although the editor still believes "real journalism will survive the transition from analog to digital," he warns us all "it's just going to be scary for a bit."
- The P-I's Seattle 911 blog didn't get a warm welcome from the
classy broadsinfamous Rick's dancers (awaiting the big bosses' legal outcome) who flat-out told the guy, "Newspaper reporters aren't good for us."

No More Baristas in Bikinis
At least not in Mason County. County officials have declared the barely-dressed baristas at local coffee stand Espresso Gone Wild are actually "erotic entertainers." Since the coffee stand is not zoned for erotic entertainment, the baristas are going to have to put some clothes on or close shop. Would you support the "stripper or barista" trend if it came to Seattle? Or do you prefer your coffee-puller fully-clothed?
Can't Miss It: Thursday
TAKE OFF YOUR SHIRT: Thursday night at R Place = Amateur Strip Show. Head out, show us what you've got, and maybe you'll walk away $200 richer. Second and third place prizes are $100 and $50, respectively. Then, once you've won, buy everyone in the room a round of drinks, and then stick around for a dance party courtesy of DJ Flo'w. After all, no work tomorrow, right?
Today in Seattle Stripping News
Maybe the Magnolia housemates should have just gone to a strip club. On the other hand, federal agents and local police raided three different strip clubs in Seattle earlier today as part of an ongoing racketeering investigation. The strip clubs, including Rick's on LCW and Sugar's in Shoreline, are owned by Frank Colacurcio Sr., the man at the center of Seattle's own Strippergate. There's no word on whether or not the raided strip clubs are open for business today, but as our friends on Magnolia learned the hard way...that's not necessarily a good reason to arrange a stripper housecall.
