For Huskies March Madness Starts (May End) Tonight

Today Seattlest welcomes our new sports correspondent to the fold. Drew Milam is a longtime Seattle resident who recently returned to the Emerald City after some time in the Bay Area, and claims to be super tight with fellow Santa Clara alum Steve Nash, Brandi Chastain and NFL referee Mike Carey. No word on if he got the gig because he is a Hillary supporter (pleasing Editor Kim) and a Garfield alum (pleasing Seattlest David). more ›

Roy Meets All Star Game

Roy Meets All Star Game

Unlike our beloved baseball All Star Game, we’ve tended to skip the NBA's version in recent years. However, with our hero Brandon Roy, in Sunday's game we can’t wait to watch our fellow ex-Bulldog cram some FANtastic™ action down the East’s face. However, we’ll be in Vancouver--sorry TNT. more ›

John Bull Stands In Dawgs' Way

To get a share of the Pac-10 title for the first time in 20 years, the Husky men likely must sweep the Bay Area schools this weekend, on the road. Game one is tonight, at California. If you watch the game (7:30 PM on Fox Sports Net), look for Cal's Richard Midgley, an English-born point guard in the Steve Nash mold. Midgley came to the U.S. to get better competition--twice in English schoolboy leagues he scored 91 points in a game. more ›
