Another great shot by a Seattlest Flickr Contributor faust0matic A motorcyclist was arrested on Sunday outside of Eugene on charges of reckless driving. Ben Howard Kelley was clocked at going 164 mph on I-5. It is the top speed a trooper has ever verified for a speeder on I-5. Kelley was arrested wearing a helmet, one law he didn't break, but we imagine that wouldn't help much if you crashed at 164 mph.......

All southbound lanes of Interstate 5 through downtown Seattle were closed earlier this afternoon while the State Patrol investigated an accident involving a tractor-trailer and several other vehicles at 1:54 p.m near the Mercer Street exit. We're advising people to avoid I-5 right now," said Lauren Penning, spokeswoman for the Washington Department of Transportation. It's 3:30, and the rain has stopped up here at Seattlest HQ. We even see a little sun shining through. Seattle Police, or the Washington State Ferry system, or the FBI, or whatever shadowy anti-terrorist unit is in charge of this particular investigation hasn't contacted Seattlest at this time. They haven't asked us into the evidence room in the basement of some nondescript building and opened the box containing the suspicious device they found in a Seattle/Bainbridge ferry bathroom and asked us to identify it. We can identify it, however, and you probably can too......

Every once in a great while we'll be reading the Seattle Times (we're housesitting and they get it here) and we'll learn something. We can't express to you the shock of it. This morning we were reading their Bumper column (the Times's version of the P-I's Getting There), and ran across this comment from a guy who got a warning for honking...well, here, you read it:The other day Mark Cruz, of Renton, was waiting to......

Yesterday Kevin Shaw failed to make headlines again. The man arrrested and indicted for his murder, despite phone records and DNA evidence linking him to the crime, pleaded innocent yesterday. To date no news article we've been able to track down has mentioned what seems to be the obvious possibility that Kevin Shaw was gay, and his murder was a hate crime. The following article by special guest Mario Paduano wonders why. When you're murdered,......
