Long-time voice of the Sonics Kevin Calabro has been named play-by-play voice of Seattle Sounders FC, which begins MLS play in March 2009. The Seattle Sounders will advance to the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup after defeating the Kansas City Wizards 1-0 in quarterfinal play at Qwest Field Tuesday night. We think the league learned their lesson from Houston when they named that franchise Houston 1836, the year that city was founded.
