Seahawks Set for 2005

In a two-week burst of activity, the Seahawks secured their three top free agents for the 2005 season and beyond. The team completed this task on Wednesday, signing quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to a six-year contract. This allowed the team to designate running back Shawn Alexander as the team's "franchise player," which all but assures that he will return to the Seahawks.
