A couple of days ago we ran this photo, with the caveat that it could well be a fake. A friend, who works at the Pacific Northwest Ballet, saw the photo being taken, assures us that it's not:

I wanted to let you know that the segway mom photo was taken by my co-worker. Segway Mom was crossing Mercer directly in front of the ballet and we all saw her. [My friend] ran out to get a good angle. So enough of this "supposedly genuine" crap - I have seen this with my own eyes!
