Occupy Wall Street declared Wednesday a "day of action." The Seattle branch made education and infrastructure their focus, and marched on the University Bridge, snarling traffic and generally causing a peaceful ruckus.
SCCC: Law "Allows This Occupation" To Happen
The SLOG reports that the Seattle Central Community College administration, after consulting with its lawyers, has determined that a state code actually allows for the Occupy Seattle protest to move to its campus -- though in the letter from SCCC's president that announces this development, it is clear that the organization is far from thrilled at the prospect.

SCCC Paper Shuts Down For Real
After The City Collegian's adviser resigned on short notice from her position during the last school year, leaving the paper leaderless amidst a flurry of controversy about alleged restrictions of freedom of students' speech from the administration, things did not look good for Seattle Central's school newspaper. Yesterday the Seattle Times reported that the paper has officially stopped press, and if the Times says it, it must be for real. Our best wishes to the staff, and we hope the paper's up and running again soon.
