Though we know you're just finishing up reading the transcripts from yesterday's Reichert vs. Burner debate, it's already time for another Washington State debate. Tonight, Governor Christine Gregoire and Dino Rossi will meet in Spokane for the fourth debate in the hotly contested gubernatorial race. It's the second to last meeting for the candidates before the general election on November 4th. The final debate will be held between Gregoire and Rossi next Wednesday in Seattle. With the way things are going, maybe this go-around can be won by a margin of at least 200 votes.

Maybe you're sick of the back-and-forth of political debates, where nothing substantive is actually said and everything boils down to the repetition of key drinking words ("maverick," "my friends," and "the Bush administration"). But just in case you're not yet fully revolted by the process, there's a debate tonight today in Bellevue between Dave Reichert and Darcy Burner--the two candidates head-to-head in a rematch for the 8th Congressional District seat. This is the first debate between the candidates in this go-round, and it will hopefully be shown eventually on local public access TV. If and when it is televised, Washington voters, your drinking words are: "Green River killer" and "net-roots."
