What are the people who edit the Seattle article on Wikipedia fighting about these days?
Everyone Loves a Wikipedia Dustup
Zillow.com Inspires Much Real-Estate Biz Navel-Gazing
The PI's John Cook offered the best short summary of what's new at Zillow in his Venture Blog today:
Big changes at Zillow.com today, with the company overhauling its Web site to include user-generated for sale listings, a real estate wiki and a new service called "Make Me Move" that allows any home owner to set a dream price for their home on the site. You can get more sober and insightful discussion from Zillow's blog, of course, but we've enjoyed reading some of the more biased (and either worried or thrilled) commentary.
Seattlest Interview: Andrew Wright
Andrew Wright is one of The Stranger's film critics -- and one of two with the initials AW. We hit him up for an interview in May, but it turned out he was kind of busy watching films to prepare for this year's SIFF. Post-SIFF, he was more than happy to answer our questions and give Seattlest a glimpse into one local example of a critical mind.
We're Not In Washington Anymore
Gotham. Motown. The Big Easy. The Windy City. The City of Angels… The Emerald City?
Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something cool to hang above my couch.
Roq la Rue, Seattlest's favorite purveyor of lowbrow art and pop surrealism, is opening its new gallery space tonight with "Bad Moon Rising," their annual Halloween group show. Stop by and ogle artwork by Ojimbo, Jim Blanchard, Lisa Petrucci, Pooch, Mike Leavitt, Mike Curato, James McLeod, Travis Louie, Ryan Bubnis, Joshua Petker, Brian Despain, Anthony Ausgang, Johnny Crap, Nicole Steen, Yo Ueno, Joe Vollan, Amanda Wachob, Jason D’Aquino, David Rauschenberg, Chuck Demorat, Justin Hampton, Quintin Gonzalez, Mark Ryden, Marion Peck, and Luke Chueh.
How Long Has This Been Going On?
It's difficult to be bleeding edge all the time. Sometimes by the time Seattlest gets around to posting an item, we suspect maybe it's long ago scabbed over and there's just that faint white line and memories of itchiness.
