After the Bumb Rush: Bumbershoot 2011 in the Rearview Mirror

As the weekend approaches with so much music and performance to get to around town, many are reflecting on (and maybe still recovering from) Bumbershoot. Gallery: PUSAFest 2011

PUSAFest 2011 went off without a hitch Saturday night. The all-ages sold out Showbox at the Market had an absolute blast, as the crowd got started with The Young Evils, then were entertained with the comedic lyrics of Jonathan Coulton and then driven over the top with the Presidents of the United States of America. Shocking to us, there was a pit constructed for the show, but it proved wise as kids were crowd surfing once PUSA got on stage as the crowd was obviously energized PUSA performance. Spend Presidents' Weekend with Seattle's Presidents

Seattle’s very own Presidents of the United States of America (PUSA) continues the tradition of playing three shows over Presidents’ Day weekend at the Showbox at the Market with Saturday & Sunday’s shows open to all ages. They’ve played the holiday weekend for at least 3 years to sold out crowds; obviously they really know how to entertain their home town. We expect them to bring the same level of energy to the stage as they did for 107.7’s Deck the Hall Ball when they briefly appeared onstage as the “Surprise Guest.” Most likely a mixed crowd of young and old singing hits like “Lump”, “Dune Buggy”, “Kitty” & “Peaches”. more ›

But, nonetheless, getting to know Rainn Wilson and all he stands for was a pretty sweet way to spend a rainy Saturday. more ›
