Today, we celebrate the end of summer. The autumnal equinox (actually, technically tomorrow) is one of two days in the year where the sun spends exactly the same amount of time above and below the equator. To honor the divine balance of nature, we suggest starting your day with coffee and ending it with beer. It is the way of our people, after all. In the meantime, this and many other stunning images can be seen throughout the four seasons in our Seattlest Flickr Pool!

It may look like the Redwoods, but it's really Volunteer Park. *blissed out sigh * We love this town. And we love our Seattlest Flickr Pool, join the love-in, why don't you?

This shot made us want to do the Hokey Pokey and turn ourselves around. (You put your left foot in...) More photos capturing "what it's all about" available today, and every day, in the Seattlest Flickr pool.

We've been feeling more like this photo internally as of late so this hopeful, bright-hearted photo was exactly the image we needed to see in the fabulous Seattlest Flickr Pool.

The great thing about the Seattlest Flickr pool is that our citizen photographers are everywhere all the time. It's the only way they can capture things like this seagull performing "I Will Always Love You" (the Whitney version, natch) on the Seattle waterfront for, we assume, a small family of tourists. If you should happen upon such an unbelievable moment about town, take a picture and drop it in our pool.

This is the kind of photo we should probably revisit sometime in mid-Februrary, to remind us of the extraordinary natural beauty of Western Washington in the summertime. More reminders of what makes our region so delightful abound in our Seattlest Flickr pool. Check it out!
