Can't stop loving you

We went into our Flickr pool looking for a shot of the glorious sun that is on its way out of town for the rest of the week, but then we found this shot. It put this song in our heads and we couldn't help but share. So happy Sunday, dearest readers. Heaven's glad you came.

It's a beautiful day outside, and this is just one of your numerous options. Get out there and dig on that old fashioned Vitamin D. (More ideas about what to do on a sunny day are always available in our Flickr pool.)

Ooh! Sparkly water! If you look closely, you can see the big dipper. Spark your imagination this lovely Sunday with our Seattlest Flickr Pool.

"IT'S CATURDAY!!! POST SOME FREAKIN CATS!!!" by shawnmebo

Seattlest knows that we have several days of sunshine and warmer temperatures right around the corner (currently, it's looking like it'll start on Tuesday), but we're oh so eager for the extra shot of Vitamin D. Remember summer? This is just one of its faces, and there are plenty more in our Flickr pool. Take a look and imagine the feeling of the light, warmth, and sun.

So I says to her, I says "Oh yeah, well you weren't complaining when I was looking at you." And you know what she did? You know what she did? She just flew off. Just like that. Flew away with some dark-eyed junco. I tell ya, man, those chestnut-backed chickadees are nothing but trouble. All talk and no action, I tell ya. Stick to the eagle chicks. That's where it's at. (There's more bird gossip and other absurdities in our Flickr pool.)

Yet another reason we're glad we live in the Pacific Northwest and not Kentucky. Share the photos that remind you why you're happy to call Seattle home with the Seattlest Flickr Pool.

There doesn't appear to be enough snow in this photo to possibly finish the snowman these kids had in mind when they started, but you have to admire their ambition. We're sure you're probably getting tired of snow photos right about now, but this Seattlest is far away in snow-less Georgia at the moment, and we wish we could make the biggest snowman ever. Enjoy another snowed-in Sunday, y'all! Take the opportunity to spend hours perusing our Flickr pool, if you please.

We were stoked when we got some of this stuff yesterday and last night, and we're due for even more as the week goes on. It was a long time coming, people, but looks like winter is here to stay. We look forward to finally hitting the slopes when we return from our holiday trip. More evidence of our little winter wonderland is available for your perusing pleasure.

This looks like a zombie lurching across a rural alfalfa field, but the picture's title--"Donna of the Foggy Beach"--lets us know that that is not a farm, but the beach, and not a zombie, but a Donna. Thank you, Taylor Hain, for getting this shot and adding it to the Flickr Pool.

We don't even know what to say about this one. It was just hanging out there in our Flickr pool, waiting to be posted. Cheers!

It's officially the holiday season now, so get all cheery and holiday-ish, and stuff. There's no time for bah-humbugging when you consider the squirrels of the world in Santa hats and underpants! The merry bells keep ringing all holiday season in our Flickr Pool.

Despite its apparent descent into disrepair, this building appears to be traveling through the universe at ludicrous speed. How fast are you moving today? When will then be now? Answers to these and other questions are always available in our Flickr pool.

This photo made us want to burst into song with "Consider yourself at home" from Oliver! the musical. What does it make you think of? More historical photos, and some not-so-historical, in our Flickr pool.

Seattlest has a thing for seagulls. Not that kind of thing. Gross! We shared a very important moment with a seagull once, and it kind of saved our life. Okay, we know that sounds dirty, too. Whatever. Happy Sunday, y'all. Here's a pretty bird from our Flickr pool.

This tree looks like strawberry-flavored rock candy to us, under a blueberry-cream-and-marshmallow sky. More delicious photos of fall-time color spectra available today and every day in our Flickr pool. Check it out for yourself.

We promise you we didn't search back in the depths of Seattlest's suddenly sunny Flickr Pool. Oh, no, this photo was taken yesterday! Yesterday, as in the tail end of October! We have to thank Seattle weather for trying to make up for the lackluster summer and for giving us the sun now. There are few things more beautiful in the world than a crisp sunny Seattle fall day, and we are extra appreciative of them now. Do share your photos of Seattle's electric blue fall skies with us, won't you?

This photo from our pool was taken a year ago, at a time when it seemed like that dude who was talking about hope and change was a serious long-shot for his party's nomination. Seattlest remembers that very well, because we've been obsessed with this damn election for that long (actually, quite a bit longer than that, even).

In heaven, apparently, there's a place called Seattle. It takes a remarkable photographer to get a camera into heaven, so props to Capn Surly. More shots like this are floating around in the clouds above our Flickr pool—take a look for yourself.

Seattlest supports naps, no matter the time or place. Here's to a narcoleptic Sunday! Check out the rest of our Flickr pool, then catch some zzzzs yourself, why don't you?

John Fish (spokesman for the McCain campaign): I'd like to open the floor for questions.

One thing Seattlest really wanted to do this summer was learn to fly fish. Turns out the best time to fly fish is during the cold weather, so our one and only summertime goal this year has now become our one and only autumn/winter/spring goal. Anyone with any tips about how to do it without hooking ourselves in the back of the neck, or if you know a good fly fishing teacher, we welcome your comments. In the meantime, we just love this shot for all its romantic vastness of water and the one quiet guy hoping for a solid catch—brought to you courtesy of our always romantic Seattlest Flickr Pool.

The caption to this shot on Flickr notes the entire fallen branch reaches across the water's expanse, holding itself no more than six inches above the water, except for one little nob at the end that barely tickles the surface. We're always amazed at the beauty and magic of nature. You can find more beautiful shots of our natural habitat today and everyday in the ever-amazing Seattlest Flickr Pool. Come take a looksie sometime, would you?

That's right, little turtles. Soak up that sun while you can. The forecast is clear and sunny as far as we can see for the next several days, but you never know when the real September will stand up. This and other shots of sun worship available today and everyday in our Seattlest Flickr Pool.

Seattlest was recently accused of being a hippie, so we figured this was an appropriate shot to share with you on a Sunday morning. Because, man, don't we all want peace? Spread the love, dude—come visit our Seattlest Flickr Pool.

Considering photography is what our Seattlest Flickr Pool is all about, and pretty girls don't hurt anything, we thought this an appropriate representative for today's photo of the day. Take a hint, will you, and share your photos with the us. We'd love to see them and share them with the world.

We've been feeling more like this photo internally as of late so this hopeful, bright-hearted photo was exactly the image we needed to see in the fabulous Seattlest Flickr Pool.

This gorgeous photo makes us want to take the rest of the week off and head for the coast.

This is clearly the best Seattlest Flickr Pool photo of the day from the best restaurant in Seattle. Pies & Pints, it's been too long--get pie float ready for us tonight. Thanks for the pic Crickontour, but is that watermark really necessary?
