The Sonics Have a Familiar Strategy
Since we are trying our dangest to fall in love with the only remaining NBA team in the Northwest, the one with all those Seattle connections, we have mercifully been spared following the Sonics this season.
Sonics Replace Weiss, We Replace Sonics
Befuddled Bob Weiss, whose sideline body language reminded us of overwhelmed Husky coach Keith Gilbertson, is gone, replaced by Bob Hill. Hill's last team, the 2002-03 Fordham University Rams, posted a 2-26 record (though they did nearly knock off then #25 Dayton). Hill is a safe and underwhelming choice--just like Weiss was.
Danny Fortson: In Mid-Season Ranting Form
We like Sonics forward Danny Fortson. He's a tenacious rebounder, he intimidates much taller men, and, when he gets the ball in the paint, he knows what to do with it. Also, he's loco.
