Can't Miss It: Thursday

PECHA KUCHA, BABY: Presenters are given six minutes and forty seconds to display and discuss twenty images (twenty seconds each), sharing works and ideas on a host of subjects, mediums, experiences, practices, and more. This volume’s title is "What Was Old Is Now New." Expect the eleven presenters to make motifs of recycling and reinvention. Started by architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham in Tokyo in 2003, the inspirational and enlightening series now has homes in over 250 cities worldwide. Tonight’s presentation will be an intimate affair at Ouch My Eye. Though it doesn’t always occur on the first Thursday of the month, this one happens to be occurring on First Avenue tonight, making it a great stop for art walkers. more ›
