Right on the heels of the announcement that the Mars Volta was added to the Sasquatch lineup, and right before tickets go on sale this Saturday, the three-day music festival has seen fit to delineate who will be playing on which day:

Heads Up: Sasquatch Lineup Announced
After months of wild speculation, the official 2008 Sasquatch lineup has finally been announced:
Weekend Music
Jack has already mentioned Stars at the Showbox, and Katelyn's put the word out about Grayskul and Hangar 18 at Chop Suey. That leaves us to mention M.I.A. and the Cool Kids at Showbox SoDo, or, if you like things a little more old-school, Mudhoney is at El Corazon. Here they are playing "Hate the Police" in Prague:
One Beast of a Show
For once, it was actually nice weather at the Gorge for Sasquatch. Last year was all sturm und drang and the year previous was approximately the temperature of the sun, but the gods smiled down on all gathered in George, Washington yesterday afternoon, as it was a pleasant 80 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
Sasquatch Line Up Results in Creamed Panties
Last year's Sasquatch line up was good, but not good enough to get us to spend three days at the Gorge. We still prefer the festival in its one-day, all-in-one-fell-swoop form, but with the lineup that's been announced for this year's two-day fest, we may just have to make the trip. Out of the two days, it was Saturday that really made us coo. Bjork *and* Arcade Fire? Consider us sold. There are still bands to be announced, but here's how things stand as of right now:
Aural Pleasures (11/21 - 11/27)
Not a huge week in music, but hey, it's a holiday. Stay home and eat! Then put your sweatpants on!
Happy, Happy Kinky
When Seattlest walked in the doors to Chop Suey for the Kinky show last night, we immediately wondered if we'd been transported to some other dimension where everyone at Chop Suey was smiling, talking, and happy. Really really happy. This is not our beautiful house, we thought...who the hell are all these fun, casually gorgeous people and are we really in Seattle?
Nortec Collective: Friday Night at Trinity
Seattlest fell fast in love with Nortec Collective's Tijuana Sessions Vol. 1 the moment we heard it. We were finally coming down off our Ozomatli high (insanely good salsa music, smooshed together with really good hip-hop and the best live shows we've ever seen) and stumbled across it, thanks to Amazon's recommendation engine. We love really good, complex, electronic music such as Amon Tobin, Prefuse 73, and Squarepusher. We are also, independent of that, big fans of music from northern Mexico (aka norteno). This is due partly to exposure to that area and its music via members of our family living in San Diego for many years, but mostly thanks to our longstanding affair with salsa music that started in early college and led us on a rampage of latino music consumption thereafter.
