Commandeer the Tractor with Honkies and Dogs, pick a boil with Beefcake, dance through the night and well again into the afternoon at the Garden, then let us shake hands and part the better for our time together.

Rent Out The Saint for New Year's Eve
Attention high rollers: If you're looking for a quaint spot to throw your New Year's Eve party, local hospitality impresario Quentin Ertel has the place for you. He's offering up The Saint as an NYE clubhouse, complete with full-stocked bar, staff of nine (cooks, servers, bartenders), and a DJ to be named later. Sez Ertel, "For the next three days, the offer is on the table: The Saint can be all yours on December 31, 2008, so that you and 64 of your closest friends can throw your own New Year’s Eve 2009 Gala. Interested? Hit me back and we can talk details." All we ask is that we're invited.
Weekend Music
With everyone still nursing their post-NYE hangover, there's not much going on this weekend in terms of live music. In fact, your best venue bet for the foreseeable future is Chop Suey. Head there tonight to help Unscrew the Croc Employees with a all-local lineup including Coconut Coolouts, The Intelligence, The Girls, and Das Llamas.
What The Hell Is The McLeod Residence?
It's a bar, it's a gallery, it's a cafe, it's an installation art space, it's probably going to become part of the Belltown circuit that should involve Roq La Rue, BLVD, and the Sculpture Park. It's the McLeod Residence.
The Year in Live Music
Besides raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, these were a few of our favorite things, at least in terms of live music during the past year.
Space Is The Place
Seattlest isn't exactly rolling in 'N Synch money, but we're pretty convinced that we'll be looking down on the state of Washington from space one day. Yeah, we met a Russian guy the other day who knows a guy who knows a guy and, long story short, he says someone's cousin works for the caterers who pack up the freeze-dried piroshky and could totally get us stowed away in a space box of them. If it comes to that, yeah, we're in. That's not our only plan, though. There are a lot of hometown avenues to try before we buy tickets for Baikonur.
