Okay. Maybe that headline is a bit misleading. This is not actually a post about spending time with Natalie Portman, the actress. It is actually about the local band Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. Maybe we just got stuck in that fantasy world of ours in which we happen across a fellow bike rider with a broken chain and, when we stop to help, it turns out to be Natalie Portman who is so thankful that she rides home with us and spends the rest of her time in Seattle exploring her sexuality with us. Maybe we used a post about the local band Natalie Portman's Shaved Head to get stuck in that daydream. Just maybe.

Friday: Catch Common Market (4:30) and U.S.E. (5:30) at the main stage, then skip over to King Cobra for the second half of Truckasaurus (6:00). Take a dinner break (may we suggest eating something protein-heavy?), then get yerself to Neumo's for Thee Emergency at 7:45. After that, we suggest Das Llamas (it's their last set...THEIR LAST ONE!) at 9:45 at the Cha Cha. To round out the night, buy yourself a fancy rum drink at Havana and party until the wee hours with DJ Curtis.

Don't call it a comeback, but the Cherry Poppin' Daddies have a new album out (Susquehanna) after a nearly ten-year hiatus. The '90s swing revival band plays two shows tonight at the Triple Door.
