We understand that between Sasquatch!, SIFF, and Folklife, you may have forgotten that it's also still Seattle Beer Week. And being that it is finally Friday, we recommend you reconnect with your old friends (hops and barley), and get together for a pint or three.

Beer Week To-Do: Try Pickled Hop Shoots
Last night, Hanna experienced her new favorite pub grub. And guess what? It comes from the same plant as her favorite beers. Get hoppy--it's Beer Week!
A Grain of Beer News: Naked City is Expanding
A little taste of what's to come this month, as Seattle Beer Week is nearly upon us.
Naked City Taphouse Marks 2nd Birthday with One-Off Craft Brews
Thought those of you with a spare liver and a few free hours on Friday might need a nudge into the Greenwood neighborhood, starting around 4 p.m. In just two short years, Naked City Taphouse and Brewery, has won over the collective palates of some of the most appreciative of beer drinkers, the craft enthusiast. Come this Friday the Taphouse will be celebrating its second year in the heart of the Greenwood Avenue corridor.
Latona Pub & Local Breweries Team Up for Earth Day (Week)
Last week Latona Pub's Bar Manager Ellliot Ryan, came up with an idea on how to celebrate 4/22 (aka Earth Day) at the bar: carry the kegs from the breweries. The terms were much easier than what you think as he, along with some loyal disciples, carried kegs from many local breweries using anything other than truck or car.
Cask Fest Session One, A Semi-Buzzed Review
Last Saturday, while most of you stood outside taking in the sun, doing yard work, or taking a walk, we went to Seattle Center to drink. Last weekend was the annual Washington Beer Commission's Cask Festival, which featured over 90 beers served from everything from a firkin (profanity it is not) keg to a hand pumped "cask engine". Each year the event is broken into two four hour, all-you-can-drink sessions (although we do not advise trying to fulfill the terms). This year, as we have in the past, elected for Session One, with the side effect of potentially enjoying what was the left of the evening.
Drinking this Weekend: Getting Naked, Green Flash, & Belgians
As far as we are concerned, L.A. can have our crappy, rain soaked weather. Instead of drowning your lawn you might consider drowning your liver. Some of the side-effects for this weekend include hangovers, muscle soreness, and oh yeah, supporting the victims in Haiti.
Doing a Shot of Jager with Saint Nick: A Pub Crawl Notice
You will get that opportunity to not just have a sip with old Saint Nick, but quite possibly Jesus, Baby Jesus, or some other oversized and entertaining character from X-Mas lore. A pub crawl for beer geeks, the event is entertaining--and with the pictures you take, you save a ton on photo inserts for those unmailed cards.
Happy Beer Hour, Part Two
Beveridge Place Pub, West Seattle ("Micro" Mondays 3 p.m. to close). Known for their willingness to accommodate man's other best friend, look to this alehouse with over 22 handles as a nice respite from the heat outside for you and your dog. Look out for $3 Red Dot pints and $12 pitchers.
