This morning shortly after 2 a.m. two men from the "Drama Boyz" motorcycle club were involved in a fatal motorcycle crash after they hit something and lost control of their bikes at 9000 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South. The crash left one man dead at the scene, while the other victim was taken to Harborview with critical injuries. The impact of the crash sent one of the motorcycles onto the Light Rail tracks, suspending service at the Othello Station in Rainier Valley for several hours. Police say the investigation is ongoing, and it will be some time before they know what happened.

Think about it, besides McD's, MILFs, and apple pie, there really isn't anything more true-blooded American than handguns and Harley. But finding it in, Bellevue of all places? You betcha, over at the Eastside Harley-Davidson store they have been offering customers a deal most can't say no to: buy a bike, get a free gun.
Former Christ Jim Caviezel received minor injuries yesterday after being thrown from his motorcycle on I-97, all because some guy tossed a bicycle into his path. Caviezel was taken to Cascade Medical Center for treatment of cuts and bruises and was later released (thank God for his helmet). Washington State Troopers plan to forward their investigation to the Chelan County prosecutor's office for possible assault and reckless endangerment charges against a 42-year-old Wenatchee man, identified as David Nelson. There's no indication why Nelson threw the bike into the path of Caviezel's 2006 Harley Davidson, especially since it's common knowledge that nobody fucks with the Jesus.
Thirty-seven Washington State troopers on motorcycles will be scrutinizing the behavior of drivers on I-5 today and tomorrow in what the P-I reports is a two-day push against dangerous freeway speed and aggression. That means if you're on I-5 in the next couple of days, 84% of the state's motorcycle troopers will be dedicating their full resources towards disciplining bad behavior on the road. It's all too easy to cruise way over 60mph during non-peak traffic hours, so be careful out there or you might find yourself with a ticket. (Put down those cell phones, too....)
It figures that on the same day the Dow sank below 10,000--its worst decline since...uh...last week--we'd also read that gas scooters and motorcycles are worse polluters than cars and SUVs. Thanks, Alan Durning! Sure, they're gas-sippers, but since you can't fit emissions equipment on the tiny little suckers, they're essentially like driving around a high-mpg leaf-blower. The EPA says driving some motorcycles 10 miles is as bad emissions-wise as driving a car 850 miles. We're going back to bed.
