There is something seriously wrong in this city right now. The fight between drivers and bicyclists has been brewing for years, but recently it seems to be reaching a boiling-over point. It pushes what we consider to be sane people, on both sides of the argument, into a state of rage that we honestly find a bit frightening.

We have been eagerly observing the re-construction of the approaches to the Fremont Bridge for some time now--ever since the project started in the late Cretaceous Period and we got inadvertently stuck behind some of its traffic. We watched for weeks and weeks and thought to ourselves, "just how long does it take to rebuild a two-lane approach?" Don't get us wrong; we were ridiculously happy to see actual construction rather than the usual Insipid Civic Seattle Process.
There are a plethora of local sporting events this weekend--one could even construct a little sports day, if so inclined. It's going to be too nice to have a weather-related excuse to watch the NFL draft. Actually, there is no excuse for watching the NFL draft. So here's the Seattlest picks:
