Seattle Tangentially Related to "Terrorism" Story

NWCN has done its best to exploit the Seattle ties of one of the biggest stories to come out over the weekend. In a long front page article on Sunday, the New York Times reported that over 20 young Somali men, who fled that country's disintegration in the 1990s for Minneapolis, have returned to join the Shabaab, a radical Islamist group with ties to Al Qaeda that's fighting the moderate Islamist government that nominally controls the country. Seattle is also home to a large Somali community, and at least one of the suspects involved with recruitment efforts in the Somali emigre community was arrested here. more ›
