Each week Seattlest highlights an individual whose philanthropic efforts are helping to make our fair city a better place. From environmental causes to the health and wellness of Seattleites and animals we recognize that every contribution helps. We’ll also feature information as to how you can get involved. This week, Seattlest looks at Conservation Northwest.
Today, we recognize two volunteers, Amy Tsui and Mike Webb. This dedicated husband and wife duo are starting their third year of volunteering with Conservation Northwest. The organization seeks to “keep the Northwest wild” by protecting wildlife in areas from the Washington Coast to the BC Rockies. Hundreds of thousands of acres of wildlife habitat have been protected since its inception in 1989.

Person of Interest Sought in Webb Murder
Blatherwatch is reporting that the police are seeking a Person of Interest in the murder of Mike Webb. Ex-KIRO talker Webb was found dead in his home recently.
MikeWebbWatch: A Body Found in the House
A decomposed body was found in the house of ex-radio guy Mike Webb. We heard that first on the television, but we've been reading about Webb on the excellent Blatherwatch blog for a while now--they've been following Webb's fall for months, even from way back in the days before they had a special category for "Mike Webb Missing" on the blog.

Once, Seattle had an afternoon paper. It was called the Seattle Times, and had sensible columnists like Emmett Watson who knew how to write a sentence. We can only assume it has no connection to the shrill, idiotic Seattle Times that now appears in the mornings. Anyway, the afternoon Times was there to tell you what happened while you were at work. Since it's gone, Seattlest steps into the void with our daily afternoon news roundup, "All the News."
