This weekend, get your fill of Seattle's best eats, experience a Capitol Hill neighborhood wearing a new many-colored coat, and dust off your decks underneath the viaduct.
Can't Miss It: The Weekend
All the News, AM-ish edition
--Northwest stocks weren't immune from yesterday's stock downturn. The market is up so far, though.
Cop, Bicyclist, Crash on First Avenue South
KOMO and KUOW report that a cop car and a bicycle were involved in an accident this morning on 1st Avenue South near Brandon St. The cop and the bicyclist ended up at Harborview, the cop car ended up inside a sub shop. No word on the state of the bicycle, but we've a feeling a trip to Gregg's is in its future.
Liberal Relativist Traffic Reports on Biased KUOW
Dear pansy-ass liberals at KUOW--stop the relativism. Just as there's a difference between Gitmo and My Lai, there's a difference between East and West Marginal Way.
Fly the Fuddy Duddy
If we had $395 to spare, we'd be lining up to take a flight this weekend on "Fuddy Duddy," a B-17 bomber currently residing at the Museum of Flight. It's only $6 to tour the plane (plus museum admission, $14), but we'd recommend calling ahead to make sure the plane isn't flying around when you get there to tour it cheapie-style. (If you wanna go really cheap--as in, not leaving your desk cheap--there are cool pics of the interior here.)
