Seattle is the 24th richest city in the world, behind Madrid, Detroit, and Toronto. It is the 7th most Twittering city. We're 50th, worldwide, in terms of quality of life, outranked by Honolulu and San Francisco. And we're 5th in the list of the top 100 U.S. tech centers. But since Fast Company has called Seattle the most creative city of 2009, if you look down, you'll probably see a shark.

We're cheering them on to a milestone, as they have crested 1.9 million to-do-itemizing members and are closing in on two million. Popular life goals at the moment are 1. save money, 2. get out of debt, 3. become financially independent, 4. win the lottery, 5. pay off my student loans, 6. make money, 7. become a millionaire, 8. stick to a budget, 9. retire early, and 10. invest.

The Boston Phoenix came up with a "Best Of" list, organized state by state, of the greatest bands ever. They chose three categories for each state of our diverse Union: Best Band of All Time, Best Solo of All Time, and Best New Band. Are you ready for Boston's take on Washington's musical legacy?
