In honor of all the past presidents and our new one, Jay Inslee sent out a flickr set of the Inauguration, including shots of the Funny Hat Caucus. This makes us wish more politicians would wear hats. In honor of odd things happening on holidays, we pass along the sad yet mysterious news that a "man driving a lawn mower has died in a collision on a highway in Granite Falls."

Vancouver Police have arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of third-degree assault of an officer and malicious mischief, after he terrorized a neighborhood and led police on a slow speed chase on his lawn mower. A very slow speed chase, indeed. Police reported approximate speeds between 3 and 5 mph.
