Details are starting to leak out about the Carnation woman suspected of killing her parents, her brother and her wife, and their two kids Christmas Eve with the help of a boyfriend.
Happy New Year! We were only a few minutes into it when the first Seattle gun violence of 2007 happened at Skyway Park Bowl and Casino (which is actually in Renton, but whatever). A pregnant woman, a woman and a man were all shot just minutes after midnight at the bowling alley and taken to Harborview. The P-I doesn't list a motive.
Kyle Huff did write a suicide note before going off on his deadly shotgun rampage on Capitol Hill a while back. It was addressed to his brother Kane and we haven't been able to dig up a copy of it yet but word is that he goes on about how pissed off he was about ravers. These are the quotes we can find right now:
-Yesterday Seattle police announced the creation of a panel to look into the motivations of Seattle mass-murderer Kyle Huff.
The Stranger's produced an article that says just about everything the daily papers have failed to say for the past few days and should rest as the final word on the Capitol Hill shootings for a while at least. It's the "he came up the stairs and we ran into the bathroom" piece you've been waiting for. We've been waiting for it, anyway, and now that we have it we're not sure we wanted it. It's a tough read and when we were finished with it we finally experienced some anger after days of sadness and nothing.
The perpetrator of this weekend's tragedy on the Hill is Kyle Huff, 28, of North Seattle, originally Montana, according to Seattle Police. Huff (pictured) had a twin and attended the Art Insitute of Seattle and North Seattle Community College. He delivered pizzas. He was at the "Better Off Undead" party at CHAC until early in the morning when he went to an afterparty at 2112 E. Republican St. He was there for less than an hour before he went out to his pickup truck and picked up a shotgun, a handgun and an ammunition belt. On the way back in to the party he spraypainted "NOW" (?) on the sidewalks outside and then he shot two people on the porch. This is reported everywhere, obviously, because he continued into the house and ended up killing seven, including himself at 7:05am after being confronted by a police officer.
