Seattlest has been obsessed with soups lately (it's not quite cold enough for stew). Today we tucked into Than Bros. chicken pho (small, $4.75). Tuesday it was Von's Three Meat Soup (a hearty, verging-on-stew bowlful, $6.95). It's a lively topic at Seattlest HQ. Yesterday Seattlest Jeremy was crowing about a potato leek he made. Capitol Hill is brunch central, and god help us, we love it so. Besides Monsoon (mmm BBQ pork buns) and Kingfish (mmm French creole eggtorte) on 19th, there's Coastal Kitchen (mmm always crowded), 22 Doors, and Smith on 15th. Sunday morning we were looking for a top-of-Capitol-Hill brunch alternative -- we've overdone Coastal Kitchen. Now everything tastes the same to us there, plus we've never been a fan of their hashbrowns.
