We've been looking forward to this day for weeks. Mainly because ZooTunes is one of our very favorite concert series. Who doesn't love an excuse to sit out on the grass at the zoo, grab a plastic cup of some local beer, a picnic dinner, and watch world class singer/songwriters have at it?

magazine claims, "You can't swing a dead cat this time of year without hitting a Top 10 List." Never one to waste a perfectly good dead cat, we decided to take a swing and create a Top Random-Number Shows Seattlest Saw This Year. SNOW: Alpental got 4 inches at the base Saturday while we were up there, and the snow was light, with plenty of wind fill if you know how to seek out the good spots. We were jealous of our friends staying up in Lot 3, whose alarm clock this morning was the rumbling, gun-shot sounds of avalanche blasting.
