Monday Afternoon Music Break: Jose Bold's Spidermann
In Theater News: Theater Returns to Fremont & Migrating Variety Shows
It may have taken six years, but it looks like Fremont is about to be the lucky recipient of its very own dedicated Fringe theater performing space. While there are a few spaces in the vicinity that have had productions performed in them (Hale's Brewery in Frelard, Stone Soup's upstairs/downstairs configuration in Wallingford, the Fremont Abbey Arts Center), there has been an undeniable void left in the neighborhood since The Empty Space left the area in 2005.
Where Are You Coming From, Spidermann?
The Basics: The Satori Group, in conjunction with Jose Bold, presents Spidermann, a "hastily constructed abstract musical," that has been "devised, written, thrown together, performed" and closed in only a fraction of the time a similarly named Broadway fiasco has spent in previews.
