TAKE OFF YOUR SHIRT: Thursday night at R Place = Amateur Strip Show. Head out, show us what you've got, and maybe you'll walk away $200 richer. Second and third place prizes are $100 and $50, respectively. Then, once you've won, buy everyone in the room a round of drinks, and then stick around for a dance party courtesy of DJ Flo'w. Can't Miss It: Wednesday

HAVE SOME FAITH: George Michael wrote songs that informed the sexuality of millions of young girls around the world—songs that went on to become gay anthems, long before he came out. The 25Live Tour promises to be the hottest, funnest, gayest, screamy-est concert Key Arena has seen all year. Wave to this Seattlest who will be sitting in the second row. more ›

Where Seattlest Interviews Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band

Last summer (ah, summer!) we drove down to Portland for their annual Pickathon Roots Music Festival, where we found ourselves exposed to all manner of folkies from Portland and beyond. One of the bands that stole the weekend for us was from Indiana, of all godforsaken places. On Saturday night, Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band played a show in the barn that seriously blew our mind. Jason Webley and Camp Tomato

Existing somewhere between Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits is local performer Jason Webley. From humble beginnings as a U-District street performer to tours up and down the West Coast (and occasional jaunts as far away as Russia), Jason's particular blend of witty and poignant lyricism, musical arrangements (piano, guitar, accordion, and shovel often figure prominently), concerts that blend showmanship, performance art and audience interaction, and an infectious love of humor and pranksterism have earned him a loyal following of fans throughout the Seattle area. more ›
