We generally don't get that excited about the NFL Draft. To us it’s all analysis and no action-- and besides the newspaper prints which defensive end we've never heard of went fifth to Tampa Bay. However, we may tune in to watch the Jets pick, just because their fans provide the world with more entertainment than Andrew Lloyd Webber could ever dream of. This year the Seahawks don't have a first round pick, trading it......

10. Mariners vs Yankees (August 22): The Yankees kept taking the lead and the Mariners kept coming back. In the ninth, with the score tied 5-5, A-Rod came up with a clutch bases loaded strike out. Later that inning Adrian Beltre won the game on a walk off home run. 9. Seahawks vs Green Bay (November 27): The field was covered in snow, Alexander ran for over 200 yards, Hasselbeck over came a slow start......

As has been pointed out in the local media, in the same old boring and un-imaginative way (Ugh, we don't even know what this guy was trying to say), Saturday is the annual cross state match-up between Washington and Washington State. This is the week when graduates of U-Dub and Wazzu annoy their co-workers with jokes, bets, and occasional violence. Although we didn't graduate from either university, we still love Husky football more than most......

On the last day of September, the Huskies beat Arizona for their third consecutive victory, and the Seahawks were in Chicago, feeling pretty good about inaugurating October against the Bears. Sure, Shaun Alexander was out, but their potent four-receiver attack had rolled over the Giants. But that night the gridiron gods turned their calendars. Maybe theirs had a particularly ugly picture of the EMP, or Ken Schram, or that WTO protester in the turtle suit,......

Husky quarterback Isaiah Stanback is out for the rest of his Husky career after his foot imploded during Saturday's loss to the Beavers. Jerry Brewer gets all columnist on the story, while Bob Condotta writes about it like a normal person on his Husky Football blog. We can't think of a worse way for Stanback to end his career with the purple and gold. After early inconsistencies, he had finally come into his own, and......

(AP) Husky quarterback Isaiah Stanback is out for the year with fractured ribs after a crushing hit by USC linebacker Rey Maualuga. This is our nightmare, anyway. Face it, Husky fans--the only way that the Dawgs can beat USC is with a Herculean running/passing performance by Stanback, something reminiscent of Marques Tuiasosopo's 300/200 performace in 1999. Yet such a performance would leave Stanback prone to the huge, fast, hard-hitting USC linebackers. And that could mean......

--We were feeling like sort of a dork for spending our Friday night at the Garfield/Franklin football game, but less so when current NY Knick Nate Robinson sat down about fifteen feet from us. Robinson's brother Jacque is a senior running back for the Bulldogs. Older brother was there with a few friends. For the most part, people left him alone. We snapped a few clandestine photos of us with the Great in the background.......

The Husky secondary allowed 323 passing yards to San Jose St. in Saturday's win. The Spartans completed 80% of their passes. Yes, 80%. You might not complete that high a percentage in practice. Why even have a defense? Post-game, excuses came fast and furious. Coach Tyrone Willingham: "It is difficult to shut down everything in [the passing game]." (also, apparently, to shut down anything) Def. Coordinator Kent Baer: "I think some guys got a......

With the Husky football starting this weekend, we thought it would be a good time to preview the season. Helping us out are our two college football experts and die-hard Husky fans, Happy Times Carl and Deputy Downer. Happy Times Carl: Welcome back college football, how we have missed you so. As soon as I am done here, I am grabbing my sleeping bag and heading down to Montlake, because I cannot wait for......

Optimists that we are, we'd hyped ourselves into a pretty good mood about the upcoming Husky football season. (Anything to stop from thinking about the Mariners). We thought--hey--the Dawgs start out with four very winnable games (ignoring the Oklahoma game, which they should probably just forfeit now and save state taxpayers the airfare). San Jose State is a slam dunk, Fresno State isn't that good, UCLA is not nearly as good at their 2005......

Let's say your boss was talking about your work performance to a group of strangers, and said that he intended to "look very closely at our situation to make sure we have things in the right order," and, when asked what you could do better, said "just things that we expect." You wouldn't exactly be running through the break room slapping high fives with your co-workers and making outlandish toasts about yourself at company functions.......
