End the Week Right with City Arts Fest: Day Three
Let the madness continue! There's a fantastic set of events to whet your appetite at Friday's City Arts Lineup. If the shows we've previewed for Friday don't sound interesting, be sure to catch Head Like a Kite with Brent Amaker and the Rodeo. They are not to be missed and Head Like a Kite will most likely, as they usually do, have guest performers jump on stage with them. You never know who you're going to get, but it'll always be an amazing time. As if that weren't enough Brent Amaker is an amazing entertainer and singer. Add in the Rodeo and he'll have your booty shaking cowboy-style. Let us know where you've been and where you're going! So far we've had a blast, wednesday night's shows and looking forward to tonight's. Meanwhile Seattlest is running rampant through the rest of the fest, so check out these shows to end your week with a bang.
Bumbershoot: Top Ten Local Acts You've Got To See

Understandably, it was pretty difficult. Below are Seattlest's picks for the entire weekend if you are looking for a local music overload. They're listed in order of appearance at the festival.
Sing-Alongs Not Imaginary
The holiday spirit was in full-swing Friday night at The Crocodile, as Three Imaginary Girls hosted a jolly evening of karaoke, preceeded by a special performance from the U.K.'s Jim Noir and solo sets from members of Tiny Vipers and the Fruit Bats.
Local Band Identified as Source of Ebola
Courtesy of the addictive BoingBoing, Seattlest has recently learned that researchers in Gabon and Congo believe they have identified the original source and carriers of ebola, narrowing the field to 3 different species of fruit bats. Along with isolating minute genetic traces of the ebola virus in these fruit bats, researchers found that the virus led to no symptoms in the bats when directly administered, thereby leaving them free to carry and spread the virus.
