We're going to have to disagree with this assertion by the good folks at subscription site Dawgman.com. They're talking about the PAT block that helped UW beat Fresno State on Saturday.

College football coaches, who gave the Huskies their only National Championship back in 1991, have bestowed upon the current team a very special honor—Also Receiving Voteites.

--We were feeling like sort of a dork for spending our Friday night at the Garfield/Franklin football game, but less so when current NY Knick Nate Robinson sat down about fifteen feet from us. Robinson's brother Jacque is a senior running back for the Bulldogs. Older brother was there with a few friends. For the most part, people left him alone. We snapped a few clandestine photos of us with the Great in the background.

In a piece last month, we called Fresno State, a team that lost to Nevada, Tulsa, and Louisana Tech last year, "not that good." Soon, the comment box was teeming with the indignation of uppity Fresno State fans, broadcasting their inferiority complexes widely by calling our piece "stupid ass" and "illogical."

With the Husky football starting this weekend, we thought it would be a good time to preview the season. Helping us out are our two college football experts and die-hard Husky fans, Happy Times Carl and Deputy Downer.

Optimists that we are, we'd hyped ourselves into a pretty good mood about the upcoming Husky football season. (Anything to stop from thinking about the Mariners). We thought--hey--the Dawgs start out with four very winnable games (ignoring the Oklahoma game, which they should probably just forfeit now and save state taxpayers the airfare).
