With all the construction, trolley tracks, and "Motorcycles Use Extreme Caution" signs around South Lake Union, this sounds like an accident (or numerous accidents) in the making. "Scoot About" is looking to become the ZipCar of the scooter market in South Lake Union.

Seattlest is grateful for our bus pass and our Zipcar membership. Paying more than $4 a gallon just doesn't sound enticing for us, but we're not surprised when we hear about rate increases and other ancillary fees (like having to pay for our baggage when we fly) being passed onto us for using public transportation.

When we first heard about the extra tax being levied on car-sharing companies like Flexcar in September, we were pretty incensed, as were many other one-car households. Sounds like the folks down in Oly may have actually heard our cries. The PI reports this morning that:
