Seattlest doesn't find this picture funny at all. We know firsthand how hard those awkward years of high school can be. The pimples, the pants that didn't fit right, the God-awful hours spent wishing Heather Cannon would think of us as more than that creepy guy staring at her. If you think this picture is funny, well, you're a bad person.
Tuesday 18th
On the off-chance you're interested in doing something besides hanging out at art galleries all weekend long, head down to the S.S. Marie Antoinette for the two-night all-ages party thrown by locally-based music collective Beep Repaired. They're celebrating the new release of a compilation featuring 18 of their artists, entitled Beep Repaired Family Tree.
Seattlest had never been to the O Lounge until last weekend, and, given the service there, we may or may not return in the forseeable future. It's a swank 'n' posh little bar/music venue that acts as an adjunct to Orrapin, the Thai restaurant next door. With its warm orange walls covered in candles and Hindu-inspired wooden bas reliefs, the space is (in the words of one of our companions for the evening) "very top-of-Queen Anne."
