Seattle landmarks like Pike Place Market, the Space Needle and the State Capitol Dome will go dark Saturday from 8:30-9:30 p.m. This hour of darkness is in support of the World Wildlife Fund’s third annual Earth Hour. This national call to action seeks to make a positive impact on climate change.
ART Restaurant at the Four Seasons in Seattle plans to observe the event by serving guests dinner by candlelight. Seattle is not alone in its efforts as over a hundred other cities have signed on for Earth Hour. Local cities including Kirkland, Snoqualmie and Edmonds will each be hosting events of their own. Last year’s Earth Hour darkened millions of homes as well as global attractions including the Empire State Building, Eiffel Tower and Sydney Opera House. We hope you’ll join us and millions of others across the globe as we turn out the lights for one hour on Saturday.

Divine Providence Gives Us Earth Hour and Pillow Fight on the SAME Day
We love our Mother Earth, but this is kind of silly. One hour of turning off the lights, everybody at once? It's called Earth Hour, and it's happening all over the country. Whatever, it certainly can't hurt. So, everyone, turn your lights off tomorrow night from 8-9pm, and show those, um, anti-Earth people.
