We've already declared Seattle a Chocolopolis. To that, we add that Seattle is also a Baconopolis. Especially tonight, when Tom Douglas hosts what he's calling "bacon's biggest social event ever."

Wondering if we’ve been on a chocolate binge lately? It’s true. With new stores, new products, and even a chocolate contest, Seattlest has been taking one for the team by tasting it all and reporting back to you. Now, as the weather turns, we turn to drinking chocolate. Seattle’s got its fair share of places serving up sumptious chocolate drinks, but our newest favorite is Chocolopolis, which we previewed just before its opening.

So Starbucks is again trying to jump into the hot chocolate market, following the failure of their indulgent Chantico drink. Today they start selling "Signature Hot Chocolate" (along with salted caramel and hazelnut versions). But a recent walk down and around Queen Anne Avenue revealed a number of other options for drinking chocolate.

Kim is relieved the debate is actually going to happen. She'll be watching with friends tonight before working all weekend. Saturday, she'll take a break for a quiet night out, and then she'll close the weekend off getting funky in the balcony of Jazz Alley with Maceo.

Is Seattle going chocolate crazy? Theo Chocolate is doing chocolate massages, meditations and barbeques. Joule is dipping chicken liver in dark chocolate. There’s even a store called Chocolopolis.

We’re still digesting the ample fare from FareStart’s Guest Chef on the Waterfront event, but if you’re a chocoholic (and the new Chocolopolis isn’t quite enough for you), then you might just want to attend this Sunday’s Seattle Luxury Chocolate Salon.

Upper Queen Anne finally has a good bagel shop pho joint chocolate shop. With all the chocolate options around the city, Seattle’s becoming a bit of a chocolopolis. And now you can visit a real Chocolopolis.
