First came Craigslist killer No.1, then yesterday we were introduced to Craigslist wannabe-killer No. 2: Shawn T. Skelton, a 24-year-old Kent man who posted an ad seeking an "encounter" with women to have sex with and then kill. Tipped off, the Seattle police went undercover and put the kibosh on that creepy situation. Skelton is now being held on $1 million bail on investigation of attempted murder. A boycott of the erotic services portion of the site has yet to take off. Craig himself says, "It's not happening."

Seattle Craigslist keeps on flowin'. While the internets fall all over themselves to lulz harder than the next guy, post eloquent treatises on the state of Jason Fortuny's mind or speculate in comments exactly how long it will take for him to get sued, charged, killed or otherwise karmically retrobutionized over his notorious CL Experiment, the scene of the crime seems oddly quiet.

Seattle has been well represented on the Best Of Craigslist list recently. Usually it's packed with entries from San Francisco (home field advantage), New York (sheer numbers) and DC (unexplainable), but Seattle has been making a remarkably strong showing. Well done, guys. Are we getting funnier as a city? Is that possible?
