It's time to stop being polite, and start getting real. MTV casting directors are coming to town this weekend, searching for potential housemates for season 23 (yowza) of The Real World. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., they'll be in Pioneer Square at Fuel Sports Eats and Beats, an appropriately douchey location for the task at hand. Applicants (between ages 18-24) should bring a recent picture of themselves and a photo ID, along with an eating disorder, alcoholism, low self-esteem, daddy issues, and/or anger management problem.

Tomorrow could bring Seattle its next reality TV train wreck star, as the Fox show So You Think You Can Dance holds an open casting call in downtown for all styles of dancers and great performers—bring on the jazz hands--to audition for the show's fifth season. We just have a mean version of “I’m a Little Teapot” in our repertoire so we’ll pass, but if you got rhythm, follow the legwarmers Saturday, March 28, to the Moore Theatre. Doors open at 8 a.m. Break a leg, Seattle!

THE KING IS DEAD: King Cobra, we hardly knew ye (though Katelyn had nothing but good things to say about your friendly confines).The Capitol Hill club in Sugar's former space never really found its music niche, and considering it's right next door to the Comet and across the street from Neumo's, we're not that surprised it's closing. Tonight the venue goes out with a bang, hosting one last show with an all-local lineup: Neon Nights, All Bets On Death, The Altar Boys, Flexx Bronco, The Pranks, The Valkyries, The Greatest Hits, Hypatia Lake, Blue Ribbon Boys, The Wrecked Chords, and Pain Cocktail. It's your last chance to check out the club, and it's free, so go give 'em some love.

One of Seattlest's coworkers needs someone -- some guy -- to crave braaaaains for a day:

I need one male actor, approximately 25-30 (or able to look it), to play a zombie for a short scene as part of a promotional trailer. The trailer will screen at a party on September 16th. We'll feed you, and give you a copy of the finished product.
