Manifold Motion's Miscellenea II Wraps Up Tonight

Tonight is the last chance to catch Manifold Motion's Miscellenea II program, presented at the Canoe Social Club in the International District. To sum up: Manifold Motion is a company - helmed by Artistic Director Keely Isaak Meehan - that produces work by collaborating interdisciplinary artists. The Miscellanea programs are an extension of Manifold Motion's normal productions, an opportunity for Manifold to further support their collaborators by giving them additional exposure and a platform to present new work. more ›

Satori Group's Season Announcement Party

Tonight, the Canoe Social Club is hosting fundraiser and season announcement party for the Satori Group (at Theatre off Jackson, 409 Seventh Ave., doors at 7:30, $5 donation "suggested" at the door). The Satori Group is an experimental theatre company originally based in Ohio that relocated to Seattle in 2008. Back in March of this year, their first production in Seattle, Will Eno's , got some good reviews from us and others. So head down to Canoe tonight to find out what the line-up of their first full season will be, and hobnob with the who's who of Seattle theatre for a while. more ›

Canoe Social Club Invites You to Club Socially

We're reminded about two events the Canoe Social Club--"a newish space in the ID that seems to be picking up where McLeod Residence left off" (Seattle Weekly)--is putting on this weekend. At 10 p.m. tonight there's the Scratch 'n' Sniff Performers Buffet, "small/solo music acts and other similar stage antics," and tomorrow there's a fundraiser for the much-lauded New Century Theatre Company, also 10 p.m. That one features the Sarah Rudinoff/Gretta Harley musical collaboration We Are Golden. It's 21+ and $25, at the Theatre Off Jackson. more ›
