Via True Hoop, the News Tribune's Frank Hughes reports today that the Sonics' organization is "enveloped by a cloud of paranoia, mistrust, distrust and, now, anger."
Oh, the Insanity: Sonics Sputter as Paranoia Strikes
Sonics Boot Head Coach Hill, GM Sund
Say this for new Sonics owner Clay Bennett--he knows shitty basketball when he sees it. And he's replacing the men most responsible for bringing it to you, GM Rick Sund and coach Bob Hill.

Bobbing for Sonics
Sonics' record under Bob Weiss last season: 13-17 (.433 winning percentage).
Cheating Sonics Trade Vlade for a Rebounder
The Sonics said goodbye to three-point-shooting forward Dale Ellis Vladimir Radmanovic today. The fifth-year Sonic is headed to the Clippers. In return, the Sonics get Chris Wilcox, a fourth-year center out of Maryland. "In Chris, we get a great rebounder who can run the floor," says Sonics GM Rick Sund. InsideHoops.com likes the deal.
Sonics Replace Weiss, We Replace Sonics
Befuddled Bob Weiss, whose sideline body language reminded us of overwhelmed Husky coach Keith Gilbertson, is gone, replaced by Bob Hill. Hill's last team, the 2002-03 Fordham University Rams, posted a 2-26 record (though they did nearly knock off then #25 Dayton). Hill is a safe and underwhelming choice--just like Weiss was.
Weiss' Last Stand
Apparently Sonics management didn't like Bob Weiss spouting off on why the Sonics stink any more than we did. He's been fired. Current assistant Bob Hill, the former Spurs coach, takes over, bringing his "philosophy of basketball" and fabulous hair.
